Popular Christmas products!

Handkerchiefs, socks, pyjamas, and nightshirts are always popular Christmas buys, but this December we've also sold an unusually large number of our traditional roller towels and range towels. Many of them have been ordered online, by customers in Scotland and the north of England - thank you!
Roller towels and range towels (with poppers so you can hang them around the handle of an Aga or other range cooker) are a wonderfully practical product, and they look great in the kitchen or utility room. They're an absorbant and hardwearing combination of cotton and linen.
Many of our customers buy a set of towels in the different colours (red stripe, blue stripe, green stripe, and neutral). The black range towel looks especailly good on a black range cooker.
We're dellighted to be sending so many of these towels out to our online customers this Christmas.

Made to measure appointments and shop opening hours over Christmas & New Year

Made to measure appointments continue to be available in the daytime, evenings, or weekends over the festive season - this often works well for customers who are busy at other times. You are welcome to contact me on 07731926832 or on the shop number 01874 623613 (calls are diverted to my mobile when the shop is closed). You can also contact us by email on info@aidansweeney.co.uk.
These are our shop opening hours throughout Christmas 2019 and New Year 2020.
- Saturday 21st December 2019: OPEN 10am until 5pm
- Sunday 22nd December: CLOSED
- Monday 23rd December: OPEN 10am until 5pm
- Tuesday 24th December: OPEN 10am until 4pm
- Wednesday 25th December to Wednesday 1st January 2020 inclusive: CLOSED
- Thursday 2nd January 2020 onwards: OPEN 10 am - 5pm (normal opening hours today onwards)
Normal opening hours are 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday inclusive (early closing Wednesdays 1pm). If you are travelling especially, do phone ahead to check I will be in the shop, as I am often away seeing made to measure customers.

Last ordering and posting dates for your parcels to arrive for Christmas

We want to make sure your Christmas gifts arrive in time!
We use the Royal Mail to send our parcels, so last order times for delivery before Christmas are based on the Royal Mail's recommended last posting dates.
If your country is not listed, contact us by phone on 01874 623613 or by email info@aidansweeney.co.uk to check if we dispatch there.
Once your parcel leaves us, how quickly it reaches you depends on the Royal Mail!
UK ORDERS:
UK order deadline: 12 noon Friday 20th December (this is the Royal Mail's last posting date for 1st Class mail.)
Special Delivery might be possible on Saturday 21st December - call us on 01874 623613 if you need to place a last minute order and we will try to help!
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
Your order will need to reach us by 2 p.m. on the days listed below for overseas delivery.
- Japan, Hong Kong: Sunday 8th December
- Cyprus, Malta: Monday 10th December
- Eastern Europe: Tuesday 11th December
- Australia, New Zealand, static HM Forces BFPO: Wednesday 12th December
- Canada, USA, Sweden, Poland: Friday 13th December

Orders placed after these deadlines will still be processed while the shop is open, but will not arrive until after Christmas. Traditional roller towels and range towels

Our popular striped traditional roller towels are back in stock in all colours: blue, red, green, and neutral/natural. In a cotton/linen mix, the roller towel is a good old-fashioned, practical product that looks great on a roller in the kitchen or utility room - and is increasingly hard to find in the shops.
We also have range towels, which are similar but feature poppers, so you can undo them to hang them around the handle of your range cooker. These range towels are also available in blue stripe, red stripe, green stripe, and neutral/natural, as well as plain black. The plain black range towels are proving a particular hit with customers with black range cookers.
You can see these towels in our Household section of this website, where we also have other high quality traditonal household items such as Jolly Molly oven gloves, Linen Union glass cloths, linen dishcloths, and waffe weave tea towels.

Meyer cords autumn and winter stock now in: wool-rich beige added to the range

Meyer corduroys are always popular and we're delighted to have new stock in the shop and available to order online. This year we've added another colour to our range of wool cords: a classy beige which goes well with sports jackets or knitwear.
The Meyer wool-rich cords are available in navy blue, taupe, and beige. The beige is a lighter shade than the taupe: the photo shows the lighter beige on the left and the darker taupe on the right. These woollen cords have an inner lining through to the knee, for added comfort in the colder weather.
We also have smart Meyer cotton corduroys in red, gold, navy blue, black, and brown. There are seven wales (or ridges) per inch, which makes the fabric really luxurious.
All our Meyer cords are very practical, with five pockets and belt loops. They are all machine washable at 40 degrees.

Made to measure pink and ivory striped jacket for a wedding guest

A happy customer with his red spotted handkerchief!

A red spotted handkerchief made this customer very happy! It's great as a neckerchief for humans as well. His companions were pleased with their purchases too, and we were delighted to welcome them all to the shop on their visit to Brecon from Cheshire.
Red spotted handkerchiefs/neckerchiefs/bandanas are available in our shop in Brecon and in our secure online shop. These handkerchiefs are also available in blue with white spots.

Seersucker tablecloths for village halls, church halls, Women's Institutes

It's been a pleasure to send out bulk orders of seersucker tablecloths to many groups and organisations this summer. We have tablecloths for square tables, retangular tables, and round tables. Attractive and practical, they're perfect for village halls, church halls, and so on.
We have check-pattern seersucker tablecloths in blue, yellow, green, and red. You can also buy our matching seersucker napkins for a co-ordinated look. They are all machine washable at 40 degrees.

Made to measure suits in bold stripes for London customers

These two splendid made to measure striped three-piece suits have just been delivered to customers in London. The bold stripes are stunning, and are set off by complementary linings and personalised details. As I have hundreds of fabrics to chose from, the customers were able to find exactly what they wanted to create their distinctive look.
I make regular visit to made to measure customers in London, the Chester/Manchester area, the Bristol area, the M5/M4 corridor, and elsewhere. Best British braces: strong, secure, and comfortable for men of all sizes

Our British-made men's braces are strong, practical for everyday use, and smart for special occasions such as weddings. We stock clip end braces and leather end braces in many colours, and in various sizes for men of different heights, including very tall men.
As well as plain colours, we have Paisley pattern braces and braces with small Polka dots (pin dots).
We've been selling these braces for many years, and customers keep telling us how good they are. Here's a selection of feedback we've received about our extra-strong clip braces:
