Extra strong braces now available in beige

Our extra strong clip braces are now available in beige, in addition to navy blue, red, green, black, grey, and wine. We stock these braces in standard length, extra long (XL), and extra extra long (XXL) for very tall customers.

They are already proving popular, with several customers who already have braces in a range of colours now adding the beige braces to their collection. They are particularly good for use with paler colour summer trousers, or with paler colour corduroy trousers.

Meyer cords proving popular again

Meyer corduroys are a firm favourite every year with our customers, and this winter is no exception.

All Meyer clothes are high quality garments. The cords are a luxurious heavyweight 80% cotton, with some elastane to give a bit of stretch - that's a key element of the comfortable fit. Other quality features include a securty pocket, belt loops, a security pocket, and a zip fly plus hook & bar fastening and 2 buttons.

We stock Meyer cords in gold, red, navy blue, and brown. They are excellent for both town and country wear.

Seasons Greetings from Aidan Sweeney Menswear in Brecon, December 2016

Thank you for your interest in my shop and website. It has been a pleasure to help my customers from all over the world - from Norway to New Zealand, from America to Australia - as well as throughout the UK.

It has also been a pleasure to meet so many customers for made to measure menswear. Tweed suits have been especially popular this year, for all ages of gentlemen, in addition to pinstripes for business wear. It is a particular delight to supply so many grooms with tweed suits for their wedding. I will be making a made to measure visit to London and the Home Counties again early in the New Year, and look forward to seeing many of you then.

Your custom is much appreciated, whether on the phone, via internet orders, or in person. I hope I can be of assistance to you again in the future. Due to the demand for made to measure, I can be away from the shop for 2 or 3 days at a time: do please call me on my mobile if there is no reply at the shop.

Grip Top knee length socks - new stock

More stock of our popular Wolsey/Morley Grip Top knee length socks have arrived. These are a favourite with our customers - and many of our regulars will be especially pleased that navy blue Grip Tops are now available again. 

Grip tops are available in black, charcoal, mid-grey, navy blue - all of which are great for business wear - plus rustic brown and lovat green which go well with country colours. Sizes are UK 6-8 (Euro 40-42), UK 9-10 (Euro 43-45), and UK 11-12 (Euro 46-47).

Meyer cords: autumn stock has arrived

Meyer corduroy trousers are perfect for country walks or smart casual wear. They're an autumn favourite, and we've recently received new stock in gold, navy blue, red, and country brown.

With their rich fabric, smart styling, and famous Meyer quality, these are lovely trousers. This year, in addition to our usual range of sizes, we've added 50 waist (with 30 inch inside leg).

Gold armbands for wedding in America

We were delighted to send a dozen gold armbands to a customer in America for his wedding.

The groom, a film producer in Los Angeles, needed the armbands quickly. We sent them by express delivery for him, so they arrived in plenty of time for his wedding.

We have St George rhodium plated armbands in gold and in silver. Each pair of gold armbands and silver armbands comes in its own dark blue presentation box. When buying a dozen pairs, these individual boxes are packed within a larger presentation box. This was perfect for our American customer.

My son James chose a two-piece made to measure suit for his graduation ceremony. He was keen to have a suit that would also be useful for his career. He wears this suit when meeting clients for his events management business in Cardiff.

Stunning made to measure jacket and waistcoat in blue check

This stunning made to measure jacket and waistcoat in blue check are for a local businessman who will wear them for work in South Wales and London.

They are made from a fine pure wool fabric with a smooth finish. This fabric is available in a wide range of colours and patterns.

The collar and pocket trim is alcantara, which is also available in a range of different colours to complement the fabric you select. The lining - one of hundreds to chose from - is royal blue. 

This gentleman is a regular customer, and we are proud to add these beautiful garments to the made to measure suits with which we have previously supplied him.
