Silk ties with horse design, diamonds, & Paisley patterns added to online shop

We've added more silk ties to our online shop. Paisley patterns, diamond designs, and horse/bridle motifs all feature. These silk ties make a beautiful knot and look great with blazer, suit, and tweed jacket.

Easycare tablecloths for barbecues, tea in the garden, nurseries, schools and other organisations

Easycare seersucker tablecloths are a favourite with our customers. We have rectangular, square, and round tablecloths, in yellow check, green check, blue check, and red check.

Seersucker tablecloths are bright and practical, machine washable up to 40 degrees and barely require a light iron.

We have matching seersucker napkins too so you can have a co-ordinated tablecloth and napkin set. This is popular with organisations such as Women's Institutes and church halls as well as for people's kitchens and dining rooms.

Customers are also buying these tablecloths for socially-distanced barbecues and tea parties in their gardens!

Shop reopening today, Monday 22nd June 2020

Shops in Wales are allowed to open today, Monday 22nd June.

I'll be delighted to welcome you to my shop in Brecon's Market Arcade. To help me give you the best and safest attention, please phone ahead (any time between 8am and 10pm) on 01874 623613 or 07731926832 to check I am available.

If there is a specific item you'd like (e.g. Sloggi underwear, Jockey briefs, cotton dishcloths, waffle weave tea towels) give me a call on 01874 623613 or 07731926832 and I will have it ready for you in the shop or I can deliver it to you locally. You can also order safely online - online orders have continued uninterrupted. Please do give me a call if you have any queries about an online order or about any of my products or made to measure service.

There will be hand sanitiser on the counter outside the door for you to use before and after you come into the shop. There will also be gloves outside the shop for you to put on. For everyone's safety, we'll have one person at a time (or two from the same household) in the shop.

You will be able to look at items of clothing and try them on. Garments you handle/try on but do not buy will then be quarantined for three days before anyone else touches them.

Coronavirus update 12.6.20

We continue to send out your online and telephone orders by Royal Mail from Brecon Post Office. Welsh Government rules mean the shop currently remains closed, but you are still able to order with us and we are still able to send you items.

Cotton dishcloths and linen dishcloths

We've been sending out many orders of our 12-pack of traditional cotton dischloths. They're 100% cotton, a handy large size, and traditional waffle weave for extra absorbancy - great for a variety of kitchen jobs such as wiping down worktops.

WIth stripes in six different colour options, you can use different colours for different jobs around your home.

For those of you who prefer linen, our linen dishcloths are popular too. They're 21 inches x 15 inches, with a wide weave that is supple and dries quicky for improved hygiene.

Seersucker tablecloths suitable for schools and nurseries

Our colourful and practical seersucker tablecloths are proving popular with schools and nurseries as well as our other customers. Available in rectangular, square, and round in various sizes, seersucker tablecloths are a cheerful addition to school tables for lunchtimes. They're easy care and machine washable.

We stock these checked tablecloths in red, blue, green, and yellow. Teachers comment that the range of colours is great for colour-coding tables by classes or by groups. 

You are welcome to order online: select the shape (rectangular, square, or round), then the size and colour. Alternatively, give me a call if you'd like to discuss a bulk order of tablecloths. We also stock matching seersucker napkins.

Cotton dishcloths - new stock now available

Waffle weave 100% cotton dishcloths are back in stock in all colours. They are a large size, are colour coded, and provide great absorbancy, so they're always popular for wiping kitchen surfaces and doing dishes.

The dishcloths are white with stripes in a variety of colours: red, navy blue, pale blue, yellow, turquoise, and beige. Buy individual dishcloths for 99p each, or make a saving with a multi-buy pack of 12 at £11.40.

12 packs of dishcloths are available in assorted colours (usually 2 of each colour) and in single colours. If you would like a different combination of colours in a 12 pack, call us on 01874 623613 ad we'll make up a pack for you (depending on stock availablity). 

These traditional cotton dishcloths are often hard to find these days, so we're delighted to have more of these top quality items in stock and available again.

Update 30.3.20: dishcloths & essential supplies remain available for home delivery

I hope you are keeping safe at this difficult time.

Although my shop is closed, you can still order safely online or by telephone. Brecon Post Office remains open and I am sending parcels by Royal Mail as normal.

Customers have been contacting me to order household items such as dishcloths in particular, and about nightwear and underwear - especially for elderly people and others who are self isolating but might need extra supplies.

Coronavirus and business update 24th March 2020

My shop in Brecon will now be closed in line with government instructions. I will reopen as soon as allowed.

You are welcome to place orders online or by telephone. Currently I will dispatch by Royal Mail from Brecon Post Office while that service is still available.

For those of you interested in made to measure garments, I can of course discuss your requirements over the phone and explain all the options to you, to help you plan ahead.

Feel free to contact me with any enquiries you might have, and I will do my very best to help.

I look forward to resuming my business fully when possible. In the meantime I will take all precautions to protect my family, my customers, and the wider community including the NHS staff who are doing such valiant work for us. I send my best wishes to you all.

Coronavirus update

We are still taking online and telephone orders, and will continue to do so as long as Brecon Post Office remains open for us to send your order to you.

I am still available for appointments, and you are welcome to contact me by telephone on 01874 623613 or 07731926832. I will be in the shop most days, but do phone ahead if you are planning to visit in case I am away seeing customers. I can help customers start the research process for made to measure suits and other garments, by assisting with selection of fabrics, linings etc. This will be a useful service for customers who are planning ahead for events later in the year.

My mother will not be in the shop because she is self-isolating - but she remains in good spirits!
