Best selling British braces back in stock

Our best selling extra strong braces are back in stock in three popular colours - navy blue, grey, and wine (burgundy). With extra wide, extra strong clips, these braces grip firmly on your trousers for all-day comfort and support, whatever you're doing.

Extra strong braces come in 3 sizes (standard, XL, and XXL). The XXL size caters for big men up to approximately 6 feet 7 inches tall. There is a size guide on each product page. Leather end braces or button braces for trousers - what do you call them?

Braces are one of our specialities. They include braces with leather ends which attach to buttons inside trouser waistbands - sometimes called button braces. The leather ends are also known as leather runners. Whatever you call them, we know what you mean, and we have them in stock!

Wide button braces with leather ends are great for everyday use and for workwear. They stay attached, have wide straps that are comfortable and secure, and come in practical navy, wine, and grey.

Narrow button braces with leather ends are also available in navy, wine (burgundy) and grey. These narrower braces go well with suits, with the colours complementing a range of business suits.

For the ultimate in button braces, try Albert Thurston's wool boxcloth braces with leather ends (shown in the photograph above). These are a British classic with handstitched leather fittings in fine goatskin. They are supplied with a set of 6 buttons, so you can add these to your trousers if they do not already have buttons. The red and gold braces certainly make a bold statement, while the green and wine (burgundy) braces blend in with tweeds or dark suits.

So, whatever you call these braces - leather end braces or button braces - we have a selection for you. Made to measure suits for customers in Swansea, Cardiff, South Wales and beyond

Made to measure suits are our speciality. We are delighted to serve customers throughout South and West Wales and beyond. Recent orders from Neath, Swansea, the Gower, Cardiff, and Porthcawl have included three piece suits, tweed jackets, and blazers for regular customers and new customers.

As well as two-piece and three-piece made to measure suits, we also offer made to measure sports jackets, trousers, waistcoats, and overcoats. Handwoven Donegal tweed is a favourite with many customers, as is our extensive range of wool suiting fabrics in pinstripes, chalk stripes, Prince of Wales check, bird's eye, and plain colours.

Whatever your requirements - business or leisure, summer or winter, lightweight or something heavier - we have the range of options and the expertise to help you make the right selection.

The combination of our 40 years experience of dedicated customer care in made to measure menswear plus our wide range of styles, fabrics and options mean many customers travel from as far afield as London to see us at our shop in Brecon. Viyella Tattersall check cotton/wool shirts - smart and comfortable whatever the weather

Viyella Tattersall check shirts are popular classics in every gentleman's wardrobe. Smart, stylish, comfortable and practical, they work well in all weathers with both formal and informal outfits.

Travelling tailor service for made to measure suits in Wales, the Midlands, and southern England

We have made to measure customers throughout the Midlands, southern England (including London), and mid/west/south Wales. I provide a travelling tailor service, so that those of you who cannot visit our gents outfitters in Brecon can still benefit from the personal attention that is essential for high quality made to measure menswear.

We are delighted that the latest spring range of lightweight pure new wool fabrics has just arrived. There is a range of samples from which to select your two piece or three piece suit. This is in addition to our usual range of made to measure fabric options.

We are delighted to announce that, in response to customer interest, we now dispatch to Japan. Customers in Japan can now buy Aidan Sweeney menswear, ladieswear, and household items in our online shop.

There has been particular interest from Japan in our Albert Thurston boxcloth braces. Thurstons wool braces come with leather ends for use with butttons or with clips. They are classic traditional British braces that are known throughout the world for their style and quality.

Celebrate St Patrick's Day with a suit from Magee of Ireland

What better way to celebrate St Patrick's Day than by taking a look at our menswear from Magee of Ireland. Magee's made to measure and Personal Tailoring range includes handwoven herringbone tweed and salt and pepper tweed in traditional Irish colours, and Magee's ready made menswear includes the splendid Corrib herringbone tweed overcoat.

Another parcel sent to Australia on Commonwealth Day

We are delighted to have many customers overseas who value being able to buy our products online. Our traditional British items such as socks, handkerchiefs and braces are popular in Australia, New Zealand, USA, and Europe.

Today, on Commonwealth Day, we dispatched another parcel of braces to a customer in Victoria, Australia. It is wonderful to have these cultural and trade links with so many people abroad, both within the Commonwealth and beyond it.
